With the opening of the new road between Mont-Tremblant and Saint-Donat in December 2003, Saint-Donat should realize a further increase in economical development which began in 2001 with the reopening of La Réserve Ski Resort.

Saint-Donat is now only 30 minutes from North side of Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort and by 2011, Intrawest plans to invest over 1 billion dollars in the development of the Mont-Tremblant Versant Soleil and Versant Nord which will increase the number of visitors from 2 to 4 million, and the number of employees from 2,000 to 7,000. Our new neighbour’s projects should create more interesting development opportunities in Saint-Donat for tourist accommodation and activities and housing for workers who seek a lifestyle as exemplified by Saint-Donat.

La Réserve Vacation Resort, with an investment of over 200 million dollars spread over the next ten years which includes condominiums, hotels, a conference centre and a golf course, is one of several projects already in progress.

The Saint-Donat Chamber of Commerce is very active in many business services among which is the annual Job Fair to help fill the many employment opportunities.
